GuestSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:49 amYou are the one who brings power to the altar. If this space pleases you, and allows you to feel peaceful and connected to yourself and whatever intention you are working with, then it is the perfect space. I have altars set up all around my home, some are intricate sacred spaces brimming with meaningful collected pieces, and others are as simple as a small wooden grid with only one crystal on top. This space looks beautiful and welcoming, but only you can decide if it is “complete” and ready for you to work with. Altars can also change and shift over time – sometimes you may feel an aspect of the altar is no longer serving you and so you can thank it for it’s contribution and remove it. Use your intuition, you really can’t go wrong here 🙂

I like slate, because it is easy to get a flat piece. But anything you like is what YOU should choose.
My altar stone is more personal to me than my tarot cards, so that should tell you something about its importance to me.
But your path, your choice. Go with your gut, your intuition, and it will almost always be the right choice. Hope this helps a bit. BB.

GuestSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:49 amLooking for advice, constructive criticism, or any ideas on how to improve this altar. While it’s a sacred place for Hecate, it is also a space where I often do magic. This is an old picture: since it was taken, graveyard dirt, a meteorite, seashell and red pillar candle have been added.
Thank you!

GuestSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:49 amwow, it’s beautiful! I’d suggest putting some of your practical/most used tools for your craft and dedicate them to Hecate (being the goddess of magick).

GuestSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:49 amSome dried flower petals (rose but any will do) with some anointed oil. Bring your intention of love and gratitude. Et viola! All the power you need.

GuestSeptember 13, 2022 at 4:49 amSomething I did for mine was had a house key made for Hecate. She’s the keeper of the keys and somehow it felt right to make sure she had a key to the house. I also have a bowl of water that I change every day.
