Hi friends, baby witch here. My birthday is in a few days and this next year I really want to work on delving into my practice and integrating it into my life some more. At the moment I’m still learning and discovering my specific calling and researching my culture. I wanted to ask if there are any birthday rituals I can do to start this next year of my journey off right! I’m half Filipina (mainly Visayas) so if there are any Filipinx here who know some specific rituals from our culture that’d be amazing! But I’d love any recommendations whether they be Filipino or general practices for witches of all kinds 🙂 thanks friends and best wishes to you all!!!

I have one, if you have a cake shared with a few people the person who’s birthday it is puts the knife in the cake and the next person with the birthday takes it out.
I don’t know what it does, good luck for both of you, but it’s always a nice tradition.

I like to light a candle (my “birthday” candle) and quietly think about the past year, the challenges, what I have learned from them, etc. I write something out to the effect that I keep the knowledge and release the sorrows and anger of the past year, and I burn it in my birthday candle flame. Then, cake 🙂

Not so much a cultural practice, but I like to put in new contacts around special days (birthday , new year,) so I can see things clearly or in a new way.
