Forums Forums Magic, Witchcraft and Healing Can I whistle at night if it’s because of my tic disorder?

Everyone knows you’re not supposed to whistle at night because if you do, it calls upon [redacted]. But what if I only whistle because of my tic disorder? It’s not a tune or anything, just usually a few short puffs with my mouth positioned in a way that makes it come out as a whistle. Does whistling call upon it because of the sound, or only if you do it intentionally? I ask because I’ve seen several posts warning about whistling at night today and I just did quite a loud whistle a few seconds ago without realizing or being able to stop it

I have never heard about that tbh… And if that is true, I’m probably follow by an army of spirits by now, because I like to whistle… Well if they are here, they better start paying rent too! 😂
I think it’s safe to whistle all you want 😀

I work 3rd shift and whistle constantly and have never summoned anything as a result. Doesn’t matter how old a superstition is, it’s still just a superstition and the only power it has is what you give it.

Your belief is what fuels magick. If you believe whistling is going to conjure up something bad then it will, if you don’t believe that then it won’t.

This is an absolute superstition but if YOU believe that it’s going to cause something bad then it probably will.

I mean, theoretically it would have the same effect, because most people who believe this learn not to do it by doing it by accident. Although, I thought it was about whistling at night outside/in forests, not just at night. People in my house whistle at night all the time, and we’re alright, so you should be okay. If you’re really worried, maybe avoid forests though lol

Question. If I were to whistle at night is there a certain melody that I shouldn’t do and if I did what would happen. Knowledge is power and I would like to know as much as I can

I really wanna know what [redacted] is!! Is it the Native American one that starts with a W (don’t wanna say the name if you won’t)? Or is I the ski-wa (abbreviated for the same reason)?
