boopsnoot1MemberCapricorns are usually characterized by negative traits such as being pessimistic, withdrawn, aloof, and serious. But this feels far from true???? So many genius creatives and comedians are Capricorns. Jim Carey, Zooey Deschanel, Dolly Parton, Andy Kaufman, Elvis, Hayley Williams…. etc.
What’s happening here??

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amIt’s true. We are the most misunderstood sign of the zodiac. We have a reputation for being unfeeling just because we’re reserved, but most Capricorns I know are the softest people once you get the chance to know them. We’re not all business, we also love beauty and being moved by things, but we maybe sometimes just aren’t interested in frivolity. Also people often forget the sign of Capricorn is a sea goat. We’re half fish, so I think we embody a lot of the dreaminess and imaginative qualities of a sign like Pisces. Yes we can be pessimistic, withdrawn, all those things, but we can also be romantic, kind, generous.

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI’m all of those things. Young astrologers (which, let’s face it, create most of the easily digestible content on social media) don’t understand that being funny and kind coexists very well with those traits because they don’t have enough life experience to understand why something is funny and that kind and nice aren’t the same thing. That’s okay, I don’t mind being stealthily chill AF.

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI love Capricorns!! My best friend, my sister, one of my favorite exes. All Capricorns. Ignore the pop astrology. When I see Capricorns I think about structure, ambition, intention. You have big dreams and will do what it takes to make them happen. If I had any complaint it’s that sometimes you take that too far where it moves into workaholism and not enough self care. And there’s your hilarious dry humor, because even though you do take yourselves very seriously you learned quickly that the world does not conform the order you have in your mind and you know how to laugh about it. Life is a game, you just intend to win.
You guys are always classy with a slight modern twist when it comes to style and aesthetic. And love those earthy neutral colors, especially black. I was talking to a guy and he told me he wanted to decorate his new apartment with neutrals and wood but lots of plants. I was like, strong Capricorn energy and he was like how did you know 😂
I think one thing that is never talked about astrology wise but something I have noticed with all my Cap friends is you guys all have one creative talent (like photography, baking, art, etc.) that you all excel! But it’s something you guys generally do not want to do as your main income. It’s more a passion, as you prefer the money and stability from a main job. But I’m always in awe of the skills.
And finally like all earth signs you love to be outside and hike and be in nature with the rest of us.
Love you little sea goats 💜♑️

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI do think Capricorns are the funniest sign on the zodiac!

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amCapricorns have a dry sense of humour. They’re usually quite funny in that way, in my experience. Wit, irony and a down-to-Earth appreciation of the turns life can take.
The people you mentioned might have other things going on in their charts though. A vocal Mercury sign and positively aspected Jupiter influence typically get people to turn bad experiences into humour. Some Capricorns have Sagittarius placements.

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI’ve learned I’m an acquired taste. (Cap sun) My friends and family think I’m hilarious. Most newer people I meet, just look at me dead pan or get upset when I think I’m being funny. It’s a dry/sarcastic yet goofy type of humor that some people just don’t get/don’t get until they know you better. I just learned to know my audience better!

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI think every archetype is stereotyped by their negative traits. Aries is known as impulsive, Taurus as stubborn, Gemini as flaky, Cancer as over emotional, Leo as self centered…etc etc.
But people who really dive into the archetypes know that those are only shadow traits and that there are equally positive traits to embrace.
As for Capricorn, we are the wisest earth sign & the poster child for Old Soul. Pessimism can be alchemized into realism, withdrawn/aloof into carefully choosing the people in their lives & serious into driven. Capricorns can look to their sister sign, Cancer, for qualities that make them more well rounded. We are absolutely capable of being nurturing and having a strong intuition, it’s just a side of us that is typically more guarded. Caps are ruled by Saturn, which is a tough planet so it’s no surprise we have a bit of a chip on our shoulder *butttt* goats are going to make it to the top no matter what the mountain looks like.
(Saying this as a Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune in Capricorn)

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI have a Cap Ascendant and can certainly be like that, but when I’m at my best I can get people roflmao-ing because my humor is unexpected and delivered so “Capricorny.” I almost never laugh at my own jokes and I think that may be part of it if I’m not mistaken

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amIt’s ruled by Saturn. Most caps can come off as serious

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amMy rising is Capricorn and I’m f*cking hilarious. I think I could legitimately make it as a comedian. Although sometimes I take my humor too far and joke about traumatic things that some might not find funny. I’m fiercely loyal to those that I love. I’m opinionated and headstrong. I can definitely be a bitch or an asshole. A lot of people say they thought I was going to be mean when they first met me.

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amWe’re just kind of lowkey tbh… at least in my opinion like I could probably guess if someone’s a leo or a virgo but I feel like us capricorns are the hardest to tell. So we’re just stereotyped by bad traits for some reason even tho in my experience it doesn’t always fit us

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amI’m sorry to always blame the same stuff but i believe it’s pluto’s fault. See, he’s been in our sign for the last 17 years. That’s a lot of time, and while some people thrived under that energy, for so many of us, who have negative aspects that transit’s been very rough. I mean, if u went though 17 years of simil covid (only worse, being bullied, with nothing turning out in your favor, been through countless disasters and losses) i believe anybody would become negative, pessimistic and sad/angry. One of the core themes of pluto is the reputation if im not mistaken, there you go.
I’m posting one of the sentences my doctor said to me after i almost lost my life in that car accident two years ago: “you need to hear some good news, to have something good”, that’s what a lot of caps need rn, that’s what people isn’t going to give us until pluto’s out of our sign. -

GuestSeptember 17, 2023 at 6:38 amA person has many more placements in their chart besides sun that would make someone serious or playful, withdrawn or social. Sun is the broadest and most generalized expression of Cap. Certainly ascendant and midheaven or most elevated planets would show a performer’s outermost personality. Sun in cap may give someone an edge when ascending into fame perhaps but it depends on the whole chart and the conditions of the most prominent planets.
