Beginner here, I found this spread on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.

my guide shows up during particularly traumatic events to help me focus on rebuilding my inner structure and embrace change

the knight of swords is headed towards the tower, which makes me think someone is on its way to help me find the ability to stand my ground (or is this still me?)

3) *something your guide has been trying to convey to you that you have not been receptive of in the past*: **two of cups**
I’m ignoring someone’s attempt to support me in a genuine way

4) *how to be more open to messages from your guide in the future*: **eight of pentacles rx**
I can become more receptive only by distancing myself from ordinary material activities and by dedicating more time to meditating on my inner world

5) *what is this guide helping you with in your path*: **three of cups**
my guide is helping me reach fulfillment, joy

I think the tower is the most interesting. Is the guide one who will lead you to hard but necessary changes or will they be the one to guide you through massive upheavals? Maybe the just embody the energy of the tower.

I would have personally drawn a clarifier for the tower. Too many possibilities and I’d definitely want to know their intentions, especially with their identifier being the tower.

Yeah, your guides are there to awaken you about some things, which may shake your foundations. You may also be slated for a spiritual awakening in the future, hard to tell.

Just doing this for fun. Don’t usually read for guides, so lemme know what you think!

1: tower- this guide personality wise seems like chaotic good. Can be brutally honest but means well by it (even if the approach is not as “kind”). Arrives when times are the toughest or change that needs to happen. Weather could represent this guide. I keep seeing really dark stormy clouds.

2: knight x swords: right now, take that risk. It won’t happen otherwise/ keeps us stuck. Don’t think, act.

3: 2 x cups: allow others to give back. Don’t give everything up all at once no matter how much you care for them. Give and receive.

4: 8 x pent rx meditate or sit in silence. Listen to your thoughts or what you hear in the silence.

5: 3 x cups: how to work on friendships, beginning and endings of ones. How to put yourself first in friendships. That its okay to not follow traditions when it comes to the type of people you become friends with.

Edit: read your interpretation and for #4 yours was particularly good. I kept thinking about materials here but couldn’t figure out how to word it. Good for a beginner! Good luck on your journey

I read this as not being ready. You think you are, indicated by 2 of Cups, but everything else tells me that more studying and hard work is needed.

It’s kind of general, I mean most people would get a similar reading: turning your world upside down, helping you face your inner demons, being a reliable crutch in hard times, you’re too busy/stressed with menial labor to “hear” them, they just want to see you thrive and be happy in the end.

The one that is a major arcana typically means that is being emphasized in your relationship right now. This could mean you’re making radical new discoveries about yourself lately and opening up to genuine, deep-rooted changes.
