Ear ringing at random times of the day

I assure you I’ve gotten my ears checked and their is nothing wrong with it. This used to happen only when going through my spiritual awakening. Now suddenly it’s back and today I was kind of shaken up. For at least 10 sec I couldn’t hear anything ( I was in a class and people were chatting real loud) except my ears ringing. It was that loud. Like what’s the reason behind this? Sometimes it’s so loud that my ears start to hurt. To be honest I don’t know if I should get a doctor checkup once again.
