Hilda was a plus size Pin-Up model from the 1950s that a lot of people aren’t familiar with, but I love this image of her as a Witch. She always radiated joy and body positivity. A few years ago plus-size model and feminist Amy Pence-Brown recreated some of the images. (link below)

I love Hilda! She always looked like she was having so much fun! And as someone who loves flower crowns and the like probably a tad too much for her age, the ones with flowers were always my favourite.

I struggle a lot with many plus size models of today, because while they may be plus size, I feel like they always have the perfect jawline and a flat stomach, and I just can’t relate to them as an overweight woman myself…
