How can you tell if you really have some ability to understand the unknown or if you just want to feel special?

When I first started to realize that this wasn’t all in my head was when I started getting psychic impressions of verifiable, factual information. That allowed me to start a larger process of discernment that proceeded organically from that point over many years. Meditation played a big role as far as helping me get familiar with my own interior environment, and an unintended benefit was that it helped me start to differentiate between my own interior chatter and psychic messages. If you have the ability to take a development class, this may also really help you. Classes allowed me to bounce my experiences off others and see where there were commonalities. Seeing others having the same experiences helped me validate them and give me some sort of frame of reference.

You are alive as a conscious being with the power of will to think and create whatever you can imagine. You are your proof that you can understand the unknown, we all possess this ability, it is core to the reason we exist. You yourself are unknown… Do you understand your inner workings? Do you understand the way in which you exist in this world?
We don’t exist to swallow whole all the ideas & definitions that man throws at us, and accept them as the absolute truth. You are to think for yourself, define and understand things for yourself, in your own words, as part of your own experience.
Man isn’t a definitive authority here on earth, he is running around trying to figure out the unknowns just as you are.
It is best to work on understanding of self first before other forms, you will need a stable foundation to stand upon. You are not your body, but the immaterial personality that inhabits & utilizes the body to experience life. Use this truth as a foundation block in your search for understanding the unknown.

OP, I think it’s when you accept and realize that not everyone will believe you and deal with it accordingly. Some people are like that. They’ve never studied Metaphysics and will never understand it. It’s when you stop letting others define you and your answers come from within yourself. It’s also when you understand that this is a subject that is really reserved to be discussed with like-minded people and not those skeptics and self-proclaimed debunkers who will never experience things like this. Many of them know very little about basic science (that they use to try to invalidate you) and nothing about Metaphysics and will gladly go out of their way to attempt to debunk, invalidate and scoff at your experiences to make THEMSELVES feel special. Most people who are attempting to debunk and deny areas of Metaphysics they’ve never studied are not qualified to hear it much less evaluate it. Far too many MORE people in this world are guilty of OVERESTIMATING their intellectual capacity than those who state that they are psychic. I might share incidences and connections from time to time when I feel it is appropriate but I have a very selective few people in my life who have knowledge of any of my profound experiences and capabilities and some of it may never be shared. It’s not needing or seeking Validation and simply knowing. This is my opinion.

It scares you and you hide it for anlong time, vs toting it around just telling everyone. I pretty much only have told my husband, mom, and sister. Never to ever anyone else. This would be really bad for my reputation in my career, so I hide it.

I’ve met a good few psychics. Goodness knows I want to find one, just one that can convince me that these abilities are real. I’ve met the self deluded, unable to discern their own cognitive biases. I’ve met the desperate that just want the attention, I’ve met the supremely skilled con artist that uses psychology, trickery, technology and will stop at nothing to con you out of your last dollar. I’ve met the academic psychic that does Tarot and runes and crystsls and astral projection and spirit guides and has been on every course you can imagine, they believe they’re psychic but just can’t crack it. And now we have the quantum psychic that will convince you it’s all proven by science. Do you recognise yourself in that list. Of course not. 57yrs of age and I’ve yet to meet the real deal.

Write it down.
Have an outside person who you can trust to validate the experience.
Pay attention to the patterns.
If you can predict something 100% of the time with writing it down and validation ontop of it.
It’s not you feeling special. You have access to things we dont have the science to explain yet.
Universe has a dark sense of humor. Once you get on the path it’s almost like it wants to prove to you “it’s real” and that erases whatever doubt you may have.
You will only have more questions. Hope you like quantum mechanics.
