I’m a Pisces Sun/Moon, Cancer Rising, and I’ve noticed that Virgos and Sagittarians seem to be more critical and harder when reviewing videogames, especially the smaller, finer details of any game.

Just curious, what’s your sign and what attributes do y’all look for in a video game? I know everyone has their preferences, but I’m someone whose invested in storytelling, characterization, music and ambition.

Taurus here and I absolutely love video games. However I can look for storytelling, characterisation and graphics. For example: RDR 1 and 2, love their storylines.

Im a sag sun/rising with a cap moon. I’m definitely not that critical when it comes to video games even though i love playing. I love horror games and call of duty for example. I’m just happy to be playing tbh. Same goes with movies. I like liking things.

Edit// i love this question btw! Cool that you tought about this.

I’m a Virgo sun, Libra moon and rising. I play videogames quite a bit and I am not very critical. Like when cyberpunk came out and everyone was complaining it was broken, I thought it was fine. Doesn’t it make sense that if you’re getting cyber implants in sketchy basements sometimes you get on your motorcycle and just fall to your death from the sky?!????!? Makes perfect sense to me.

So idk. I know in Vedic astrology, Swati moons are big gamers, which would be the first half of Scorpio. Idk about being critical though.

I’m a Leo sun, Aries moon aquarius rising

But i think my mercury in Virgo is the fucker that doesn’t let me enjoy video games. The aesthetics are always incorrect. Same thing with anime. I can’t get past the visuals. That’s why animal crossing and the Sims are the only games i play. I get to control how the game looks lmao

I love video games, am an avid gamer, and I like a lot of different genres but, open world games are my favorite. I am a pretty chill gamer, though very competitive. I like to have fun, and am often giggling while gaming. When lobbies start to get toxic, it really ruins the fun for me and puts me in a bad mood.

Single player immersive RPG a la Cyberpunk, Skyrim, Fallout, Dragon Age, Mass Effect.

I only play multiplayer if it’s couch co-op. I don’t like competition or mindless shooters.

I absolutely love video games! I can play any genre and enjoy it, but I’ve found myself mainly playing games that have immersive worlds and well-written characters. Like RDR2 is my ultimate favourite game and I love just getting lost in the world, either hunting and fishing for hours or discovering new coats on different horses. I also love a little older and more linear games, like past Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy games. It’s oddly endearing in its own ways.

I’m not overly critical and I tend not to compare different games with each other. However, if the games are released by certain companies with a track record of half-assing their games *cough* Ubisoft *cough*, then I’m much more picky. I can still enjoy the game regardless, but it definitely affects my overall likeness towards it. My main criticism with never games tends to be story, controls, and characters. With old games? My good old nemesis: the camera angle. I hate not being able to control the angle freely and being stuck with whatever angle the game chooses. It has fucked me over so many times.

Well, I’m a Libra who wants to be a game developer. I really love the artist aspect that goes into games, and I want to create something that will bring joy to others like these other games I praise so much. As for the games I like playing, I enjoy the games with an amazing art style and lore, tho bonus points especially if I can play with other people.

Lol of course pisces. I like the games from my childhood, I don’t play often but when I do it’s always stuff like super Mario 64 or banjo kazooey. I did play one recently that was kind of modeled after banjo kajooie that I thought was fun. I tend to like like action/adventure rpg’s, I’m not into any first person shooter games or things that move super fast besides like sonic the hedgehog. Overall I’m usually too tense to relax enough to get into gaming, which sucks because it’s a great distraction.

Sag sun, aries rising, and I feel like I don’t want to make the time that gaming requires. I like party games as an activity with friends, but I’m rarely going to sit and play a video game by myself. No shade, it’s a hobby like any other, but I’d rather be outside or making art or reading

Sag sun/Leo moon/Taurus rising. I’m not really into video games and when I do play them they are sandbox type stuff like Sims (2 or 4), Animal Crossing, Farm Together…not a sandbox but I really love the Style Savvy games.

I play board games too but I prefer more abstract strategy. Not necessarily good at it but I enjoy the times I do outsmart my spouse.

Aries sun, cap moon, Scorpio rising and idk if this is just a me thing but I have certain games (and books, tv shows, music, etc) that I will play over and over again and I’m not sure if there’s a thread that connects them really except the fact that I love them for some reason. I love killing, so there’s that. If there’s no killing then I’m not going to play it. And I’m never going to play fighting games, racing games, sports games, or simulators. But there are some JRPGs I like like persona, there are some rogue likes I like like the binding of Isaac, there are some tactics games I like xcom, there are some action games I like like Bloodborne, and some fps games I like like borderlands. Right now I’m playing persona 5 royal for like the 3rd time not including my p5 playthroughs. I’ll pick up Isaac here and there, been playing that for over a decade. And other games I kind of cycle through or play the new ones when they come out. They have to have good gameplay, good music, and good graphics but otherwise I’m not really sure what I’m looking for in a game specifically. That makes me think though… You know what there is one game I love that didn’t involve killing and that is beautiful katamari.
