How do you choose the best crystal/stone pendulum for yourself?

I was wondering how everyone chooses the best stone/ crystal for their pendulum..Does it actually matter what you choose? Do certain stones/crystals work best for certain things? How does one choose the best one for themselves?

Studying the associations and correspondences of different crystals and materials is a fun and rewarding aspect of learning witchcraft skills. Your local metaphysical store will have many books on these subjects for you to choose from.

However, in the end, you should always choose a tool because it *feels right* to you, above all else.

well ik different crystals can have different associations/intentions but I just got an amethyst one bc I’ve always been drawn to it, it’s affordable and common 🤷‍♀️

Power crystals are best for beginners, such as quartz or amethyst. I use tigers eye for not only it’s beautiful qualities but it is great for grounding and has both healing and great divination qualities.

I place my hand under the pendulum I’m looking through and the most active one I’m feeling and how I’m drawn to it is the one I get

Go w the one that calls out to you the most. At least thats how I choose mine.

I made mine from a quartz crystal point it’s beautiful and I feel more connected to it. But I agree with other comments here it’s really preference on the intent it’s used for and what crystal would be better for it or just your connection to your pendulum. Always feel in tune and connected to your pendulum otherwise you need to cleanse and bond with it again.

If you can shop in person just go with the one that gives you the best feelings when you open yourself up to receiving that energy . For online shopping go with something that normally resonates with you that you like personally. Mine is Lapis Lazuli I’ve always loved that stone and it’s meaning fits a pendulum well

I work with a handful of gods so I was going to choose a stone based on the god(s) I’m looking to reach out to. Then I was going to choose “my stone” aka my favorite stone for when I wanted to do something independent of a god. I never actually went through with it because I found a tarot deck that I feel connects me to my primary god so I haven’t really needed anything else haha

So, based on god, and then based on myself. That was how I was going to buy stones
