I dreamt my cousins murder

I was advised to post my post in here, as I posted in r/spirituality. I have copy and pasted what I wrote there so it’s easier for me.

I am not sure if this is the appropriate group to post this in. It’s been on my mind for a while now and I just don’t know who to talk to or where to go about this. Talking about death and grieving isn’t something a lot of people around me are comfortable talking about, which I can understand. The added element of me dreaming of my cousins death is an added complexity when walking to talk about it.

Several weeks ago, I had a dream that my cousin’s father was murdered in a laundry mat. It wasn’t a detailed dream. I remember seeing his death in the news and his picture and I remember the building looked beige and again, looked like a laundry mat. I told my mom who then called my cousin and she told him about the dream. A few weeks later, my mom gets a call from my cousin’s mother, the police called her to tell her that they found my cousin’s body in an apartment. He was murdered.

I’m feeling guilty. Mainly because I haven’t been close to my cousins, but I’ve been longing to build a relationship with them. I’m having difficulty figuring out how to do so. I made the first step at the funeral and letting them know we need to see one another and try to build a relationship. We’ll be hanging out in February. I’m trying to make things build naturally and not force a relationship, but a relationship with my cousins is something I truly want.

Last night while I was watching the news, his picture was on the news, alongside the apartment he was murdered in. The outside of the apartment building was beige. And I spent the rest of the night trying not to spiral because I’m just in complete disbelief. My cousin was such a loving and gentle soul and I’m just so saddened he died the way he did. I try not to think too deeply into it because I’m always thinking about his final moments.

While I believe that my cousin will always be around, this isn’t my first rodeo with people dying and having experiences with them letting me know that they haven’t stopped existing, I’m more-so confused about the dream as this has never happened before.

I’m not sure what I’m looking for with writing this post, but if anyone’s called to share anything with me or just send over words of encouragement, that would be appreciated.

My dear, sounds like you have very strong clairvoyant abilities that are showing up in your dreams. Sometimes when we do not have a full grasp of them during our waking hours, they will manifest themselves in more prophetic dreams. I know what you’re going through is very difficult to have given that type of information and yet had nothing that you could do with it, nor people around you that even believe it’s possible that you could have seen that.Please know that your cousin is on the other side. And that they know you care about them. It may take you a little bit of time to grieve because of this added component. But everything that you’re going through is absolutely normal.
