I have always been drawn to cemeteries. Not in a spooky, Halloween way, but I like to visit the gravesites and try to remember or honor the person they once were. I particularly like to visit old gravesites where the person passed so long ago that I know no living relative could be alive to visit. I don’t talk to them or try to connect in anyway, but I just like to imagine who they could have been and let them know someone here on earth still visits. When I visited Washington DC, my favorite spot was Arlington National Cemetery. I spent hours wandering and reading the headstones.
I don’t really know why I’m sharing this. It’s something I’ve done for years and years and I don’t tell many people about my “interest” in cemeteries as I feel like most would find it weird. But I’m guessing in this group, it won’t seem a such!
