I’m resourceful when it comes to using what’s around me to do my work. I’ve been working on something big all year and I’m right at the tail end of getting rid of a real snake in my life who messed me up energetically. I take action to protect myself and even reflect back the energy this person is casting my way but of course I have my little spells going on at home and I’m finally almost done, there is literally one step left. I feel so much better. Then this actual snake came into my porch to shed his full skin, you can see the head and everything. I bagged it and am reading about how preserve it. Idk what to do with it but I had to keep it. Has anyone used it in spellwork? Made jewelry with it? What would you do?

I have 2 snakes at home and they shed regularly. One of them is actually shedding right as we speak. Snakeskin dries up really fast and will be fragile and break easily just by the touch. I still havent tried using them for magick though so sorry, I can’t give you any insight on that.

I have read about witches grinding the skin to a powder and either burn it together with incense or use it in spelljars. As many have stated before, snakes shedding is a symbol for transformation and a new beginning. Use pieces of the skin in spells when you’re looking for a change in life like a new job, living situation and such.

Snakes are sacred for a lot of deitys, but the ones I found most interesting are Hekate and Odin. I myself dont work with deitys but if you do, this could be interesting.

I’d use it for a healing spell or a “new beginnings” spell.

many things you could do, put it on an altar, offer it to a deity that has a relation to snakes (think Loki, Medusa, Ra). You could use it in spells related to new beginnings, transformation, immortality etc.. Or make it into a piece of jewelry [here’s a helpful video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewBFp01sTBU), there are more ways and more tutorials but she is an owner of a lot of snakes and reptiles and I personally like her. Hoped this helped 🙂

I’ve only ever used a butterfly in candle magic but I I got a snake skin id use that in a spiritual transformation spell. See how snake skin grinds up 👀👀👀

A lot of stuff you can do.

Right now a healing spell comes to mind (recovering from surgery right now).

    Transformation spells.

    Growth spells.

You can use it in oils.

    Deity offerings.

    Deity oils.

    Fixing/loading deity statues.

    Jewelry pieces.

    Baneful magic

    Wisdom spells

Meditation to connect with Snake as a guide.

In spell bags, spirit bags, etc.

Meditation to connect with the underworld.

    Candle spells

    Probably incense.

    Possibilities are endless.

I would keep it forever and use it in spell work but don’t break it

I don’t have any advice, but that was a pretty cool gift/confirmation from the cosmos!
