Soo…. Unfortunately I've learned over the years that when people go missing and they pass, I am usually right about their manner of death and where the body is. All in hindsight. This time however, since I knew an affected loved one personally I tried my best to approach in a passionate way, explaining that I have been right in the past, and given that I understand police don't always search the right areas or take missing person cases seriously, my goal is only to cover all possibilities. But I know the difference between looking at a photo of a deceased person and a live one.
After living with guilt of not speaking up about my own loved ones and where they were located or what happened to them I couldn't not say anything to a friend of the person this happened to.
Any advice on this? I also understand you gotta tread lightly around these situations. If it was a totally random missing persons case I'm not sure I would say anything at all in the future. I like to think of I had spoken up sooner or been able to go out and search for my loved ones myself, there could be either justice or the loved ones wouldn't have to suffer not knowing for so long.
