Deck: Pixel Occult’s Wayward Dark Tarot. Note: this deck is inspired by the Crowley Thoth Deck and runs on the same ideas with just a slightly different artistry and approach.

I did this reading earlier this week to understand a question regarding how I work towards a future where I can be available to pursue a woman I see deep connection with. Ultimately, this is a question regarding both career and partnership. The main spread makes sense, but the 15 card spread ( [here’s a decent description](https://www.hermitsmirror.com/musings/golden-dawn-spread) – an odd spread, but one I’ve liked over the years) confused me with the two paths. The three cards about my situation have War/Tower between the ace of earth and the prince of air — a current demolition and restructuring influenced by a need for better resources and following my ideals. That’s accurate.

For the lower pieces, as they make sense to me:
Lower left – psychological factors: ace of air, three of air (sorrow), and six of fire (victory). I read this as currently being driven by ideals, ideals of mine that have been hurt in partnership and career, but for which I’m undeterred and feel a particular drive with some recent success and belief in potential.

Lower right – karmic factors: Lust, Death, Magus. I take this as the end of a cycle, the realization and acceptance of my needs and desires (have come to identify and accept aspects of myself and how they would relate to future partnership), and some intensive application of my skills (recently have attained a certification after much study and effort). So career and partnership.

Ok. The paths. This is where I get confused and need help. Upper right, please consult imgur link at top. I pulled Emperor, queen of earth (water of earth), and ace of water. I take this as something to do with control, mastery, and deep fulfillment with some partner, but I’m lost. I tried pulling three more cards as a more advanced tarot reading friend recommends, and I got prince of water (air of water), Universe, and Fool. The prince of cups represents my Zodiac section in the Crowley Thoth Deck and is also a good descriptor of my airy intellectualism and emotive depths, so I was struck by this representation of me and the clear notes of the end of a journey and the beginning of another, but again, I don’t really get how to read all this.

Upper left strikes me as a development of the right, as it mirrors it. Eight of fire (swiftness) matches the firey element of the Emperor and speaks to that leadership moving forward into action. Princess of earth (earth of earth) is a powerfully meaningful card symbolically in Crowley – I remember that right offhand, and I see that as a moving forward of the relationship with the queen in the right path, perhaps indicating actual pregnancy, or a deepening spiritual connection. Then, the nine of water matches the ace of water from the right, indicating this overflowing emotive potential solidifying into an abundant, flowing happiness.

Perhaps I asked the question incorrectly because I kind of hoped for a bit more clarity on moving forward, and I’m left not certain how that will work, if this is more immediate or distant future, or if the woman in the future path(s) is even the one I was asking about or just a general concept of a fitting partner (I really struggle with reading court cards). Any insight is welcome. I’m going through big transitions, and every bit of this helps me find comfort sitting through it all.

    Thanks!
