Listen, I usually love Cancers and I adore the Cancers in my life, but I’ve noticed that they tend to have the worst luck in life despite being some of the sweetest, most caring people around. My Cancer boyfriend tends to have lots of misfortune and accidents happen to him (not to mention really bad video game luck in Mario Party), my Cancer best friend deals with depression and anxiety as well as being compared to her high-achieving twin brother, my Cancer online friend has had a history of people she meets (including family) abusing and hurting her (such as a ten-year friendship ending), heck I even feel bad for that shady Cancer ex-friend because he was in love with his friend who was an aromantic asexual woman. Do Cancers really have bad luck, or is it just that it seems that way because they’re more sensitive to setbacks? Maybe both haha. Anyways, as a lucky Aquarius, I wanna give some of my luck to my Cancer loved ones.

I’m a Cancer sun and I don’t personally believe sun sign plays any role in luck (maybe karma though?).

But to counter your anecdote, Cancers have the largest amount of famous comedy writers/comedians/comics (and comedy is a notoriously difficult field to excel in) so that probably requires some level of luck right? Similarly, a crazy amount of successful models have been Cancer women (and modeling is another notoriously difficult field to break into). A lot of successful fighters have been Cancers which again…difficult field for success! And in general actually a lot of the worlds most successful people have been Cancers including Elon musk (who I’m personally repulsed by but 😅 I’m just saying, he’s one of the most luck-based wealthy people alive right now). Cancers have had HUGE successes in music (jack white of the white stripes is a Cancer along with Oliver tree, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, etc) and in acting (Margot Robbie, Tom cruise, robin williams). Kenanu reeves has a cancer Stellium.

The zodiac sign with the most Nobel prize winners have been Cancers too including Malala yoseffi who survived being shot in the head.

There are some famous Cancers who are known for incredibly bad luck though. Mike Tyson comes to mind. Certainly Nikola Tesla. Princess Diana obviously suffered some incredible series of misfortune.

So I think if luck is zodiac based it’s something else other than sun sign.

    We self-sabotage.

We’re the // e M P a t H y // sign, you know. So I don’t get to just win and be happy. I have to sit there and feel the disappointment of the person I beat. Can’t just enjoy my medal–I have to sit there and look at the kid without a medal and feel HORRIBLE.

Sometimes I find myself subconsciously doing things so I’ll lose, that way I won’t have to feel bad, and I can be like “ugh if ONLY I hadn’t gotten drunk the night before the interview…”

For instance, my friends have dogs. They are *EXTREME* beggers. I can’t deal with it. The guilt I feel eating in front of them is usually enough to ruin my appetite. They want people food so badly. They want people food more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my entire life. Their hearts are breaking that I’m not sharing my food.

I’ve noticed that I’m a little bit forgetful about leaving my food in a low place around them–which is weird, because I get upset when they steal my food. I want to be clear: I have come to *really* dislike these dogs. I think deep down I just prefer hating my friends’ dogs to hating myself.

No. It’s just the cancers you’ve encountered.
Jupiter is actually associated with *luck*
You’re also only discussing their sun signs.

There’s more to astrology than that.

My best friend is a Cancer and her luck is….very much like a rollercoaster.

Everytime something good happens to her, something bad will happen to her just as quick. No matter what she does, some shiz always goes wrong. She randomly gets sick all the time, gets into accidents, has a bad relationship with a family member etc, etc (the list literally goes on and on).

I genuinely feel really bad for her because she’s literally the sweetest soul ever who doesn’t deserve even half of what life throws at her. Idk if this is a Cancer thing, but I’m def starting to see pattern 👀

My ex was a cancer. Gem of a person but very very bad luck since he was little. He is one resilient, brave person though.

Naw…I’ve had a lot of good luck in my life. Many times I take it for granted even. Doesn’t mean nothing goes wrong but overall… things go well.

They don’t have bad luck, they just see anything bad that happens to them as a huge deal. It just seems like bad luck because they think/describe it as such 😂 Same sh*t happens to the rest of us and we don’t see ourselves as victims.

I know a cancer who often talks about things happening in the sense of whether one ‘deserves’ it or not. Like if something inconvenient happens to them, it was not deserved. Or if something good happens after some bad stuff, it was deserved. Imagine going through life with such a mentality, like it owes you something. The rest of us just get on with it and accept that life has its ups and downs.
