Apparently south node is karma that inhibits us, so does it mean Jupiter is not so beneficial in this position? Will it also mean that what we perceive as good luck (Jupiter) will actually challenge our life goal (north node)?

To me, it means try to be less bigoted (Jupiter) in your views, it doesn’t mean that Jupiter isn’t luck for you, although this is just my take on it all. Less inflated and bigoted in one’s sureness in their ‘truth’!

I don’t buy nodes as karma. Probably because I don’t ascribe to karma anyway :). I see the nodes this way: the north node shows things we need to develop, but not to replace the south. Not to obliterate or avoid or reject the south. But to bring the added new approaches of the north, back to the south, and have them work together.

How jupiter works in a chart will depend on its condition by sign, and by house, and what its aspects are, and what other mitigating or debilitating factors might be present.
