    Hi all,

I’ve been thinking a lot about Jupiter returns. Before knowing a lot about astrology, I would have thought that Jupiter return will bring blessings on blessings. Luck will be on your side etc. I was thinking that at 24, during my Jupiter return in conjunct my MC, I thought my career will be positive and soaring!
But I remember at that point in my life, I felt stuck with the job that I was offered during my Jupiter return… its like what I thought I wanted ended up not being what I actually wanted. I was struggling.

Now looking back at it now a year and a half later, I do feel that the job that I was offered during my Jupiter return actually helped me 10-fold. Even though I was burdened and over work my my position, it did pay off for receiving recognition and has help catapult me into my future endeavors and so for that I am grateful.

I read on Twitter somewhere the Jupiter returns can be tough, even as tough as your 12th house profection year. And in my experience it has been the case, but after all is said and done I appreciate the positive the came after the return.

What are your thoughts about your Jupiter return? Was it tough for you? Q good year? Where is your Jupiter placement. Let’s talk about it

To look at a benefic purely as ‘good’ limits the possibility for proper interpretation. Jupiter is abundance and growth, yes, but cancer is an abundance of growth. My Jupiter is in Gemini, so in detriment. At around 24, for example, I was going through awkward times at university, where I overworked due to a severe case of anxiety around my skill level (Jupiter in detriment can lead people to think less of themselves than is correct) as well as the other excesses that come along with time at university. It led me to such a damaged sleep pattern that I developed chronic insomnia. A case of the negatives of ‘too much’ doubled.

Are your Jupiter placements dignified or debilitated? What is Jupiter focussing on, (by reception)?

Yeah I have felt this for long that this whole “luck, expansion, greater benefic” stereotype associated with Jupiter really distorts things a lot!

I feel that Jupiter’s themes of higher knowledge & spirituality is its most powerful definition. I myself had my Jupiter return last year & it brought with it no magical Hogwarts letters lol! But it did bring a lot of knowledge & some deep introspection in what I believed & stood for. Just like you I look back & see how that knowledge was like a thousand times better for my goals & much more precious than any “lucky” thing

I have paid a lot of attention to my Jupiter return years (have had three so far) and I really agree with Miss Annie’s interpretation comment. While A Jupiter return can bring luck and abundance, it also brings higher knowledge. That can come in the form of abundance, or not.

My Jupiter is in Cap in the 7th house. Jupiter in Cap is in fall. I have had a hard time with this placement Bc I always though it meant I have little to no luck, but really I create my own luck by working hard/through my relationships.

So let’s start with age 12: my dad came out, and my parents spliit up the following year. 24: I met the love of my life, but had to rid myself of a debilitating relationship into order to pursue my new love. 36: covid hit, three of my family members passed, and I had to reinvent my entire business but the love and my life and I finally were able to purchase our dream home.

What I conclude from these returns so far is that Jupiter returns will always test my relationships, whether to myself, my work, or my loved ones. It also brings with it higher knowledge through relationships. So I would definitely look at the house and its sign as to what kind of higher knowledge Jupiter is trying to provide.

I will add that the love of my life is a cancer rising and a cap sun, placing his sun in the 7th house conjunct my Jupiter. There’s where I have found the luck and abundance of my Jupiter returns most.
