Just received Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen in the mail, and was SHOCKED by how massive it is! I’m a little intimidated, but excited!

I have heard so many good things about this book, I know it’s an essential classic. This is my fourth Tarot reference book now, and I’m excited to learn more!

Who else here has read Holistic Tarot? What are you thoughts on this book?

I’ve read it! It’s a lot. I did notice she tends to repeat the same thing in different ways.

I like it a lot but didn’t get much use out of it. SHortly after buying it my interest switched from the RWS and similar decks to the Marseille tarot and its a different system. Because Holistic Tarot is huge there is some info on the Marseille tradition there but its fairly minimal 98% of the book is geared toward the Rider Waite tradition.

It’s an excellent reference book. More of an encyclopedia. Even thought I read it all way through I skipped card meanings at first and then went back to them. It feels to me like a very comprehensive and well structured book.
