Forums Forums Mediums Mediums do you stare off into the void during in person readings??

My mediumship abilities recently blossomed once I stopped discarding my claircognizant abilities. I am also highly clairvoyant in my mind’s eye. So far my readings have gone incredibly well. I have a very high accuracy rate with messages from Spirit energy.

But I do have one question, because I feel kind of weird doing this when I’m with clients. But instead of looking at them during a reading, I look a bit beyond them, and kind of stare into empty space the entire time. Occasionally I might glance back at the person but I find the facial expressions to distract me. I feel like I even much better connection to spirit when I am not looking at them during the reading.

    Is this common?

I look a bit off center. Not sure if call it the void but often I don’t stare into people’s eyes. It’s a mild form of trance for me.

Absolutely. You’re looking through your third eye. I also look behind anything physical.

I usually close my eyes or look at where the spirit is standing, if I’m listening to them. Which I’ve never been comfortable doing around other people — reason why I always prefer to read in remote, or over chat rather than call!

I experience different types of mediumship, but I’m most proficient at trance channeling. I’m not used to seeing people or my environment through the windows of my eyes, so looking at them directly makes it much harder to reach a receptive state and be interactive.

I tend to close my eyes or look away, and often fidget with something to occupy my brain. I really have to disengage to consciously channel, and I’d rather not. It’s an area I struggle in and I’m working on it.

Very often, yes. I go so far as to prep clients with things I may or may not do, and that I am still present with them even if I’m not making eye contact etc.

Yes. Mostly of times I prefer to close my eyes then is easier to focus only in the channeled messages and not the face expressions or body language of my client.

No. I look around. I go to the kitchen. I see what is happening in my location.

Its totally different for every reading. Sometimes I maintain eye contact… or focus on my client but usually I just let it flow however it comes. Sometimes I close my eyes, sometimes I stare off like you.

Sometimes one “Clair” is more dominant than the others. Its so cool how spirit info comes through. I’ve learned to embrace it and just have fun. I’m excited for you on your journey! Best of wishes. 🦋🧡

I do. Can’t help it – sitters usually stare ahead on and I get locked into the gaze. I often turn to face the spirit present, if I feel them being physically present. But usually I stare off aside and during those moments I’m not sure where I go.

Exactly the same here. I’m autistic as well though so eye contact makes me lose all focus. Typically doing a reading I close my eyes or look at my hands or their hands or the sky, but my attention is to sensing and listening, waiting for my intuition.

I’ve only done readings through chat and text so far, but I stare off to the side every time. Not sure why, but it feels natural.

The mind’s eye is actually the eyes of the higher self and whatever you see thru the mind’s eye is actually physically happening in the non physical realm the same place spirits go after death, same but different.

Think of the client, a version of the client is instantly materialized in the non physical realm, now simply interact with the client in the non physical realm.

If any spirits want too communicate they will be there in the non physical realm with or around the client in the non physical realm

Remember no words are needed too think a thought

Thought is there creator of everything

You can also give your clients gift that you create in the non physical realm too advance them too the next level and these gifts are created with a single thought. Example; Create whatever NOw, and the NOw is pronounced in a commanding tone I made a video on YouTube of this and you can find the link in r/psyonics

When people think of spirit they think of a non physical form and if you ever saw one in the earthly world that’s how they appear but in the non physical realm they are completely physical just like you or me.

Starting into the void is very common, it’s similar too a daydream state, actually it’s exactly the same as a daydream state. When people daydream they stare into the void and they see stuff in the mind’s eye.

My favorite gift for spirits is either a teleport device operated totally telepathically or the latest and greatest UFO operated completely telepathically, these devices will keep them entertained for a very long time plus I get the knowledge and experience data from their journeys plus I can teleport to see how they are doing anytime, that’s possible even if I didn’t give them the gift but it’s much more fun to see spirits entertained.

When I go visit them prior too giving the gift they just live a boring life much the same as on earth, sitting in their home staring at the four walls, and after giving them the gift, the excitement and gratitude they show is worth it.

I like to make eye contact when I can but still not freak anyone out. But it’s not uncommon for me to just look off somewhere or look up as I start getting info. At a certain point I can lose awareness of what’s going on as info just kinda streams in. Randomly I’ll sometimes get like an eye twitch and a small stutter if a lot of strong energy/info gets shown in my head (I know it sounds strange and it feels stranger). I’m told it’s not that noticeable but to me it feels like I have a neon sign on me that reads “Weird girl doing some odd $hit”!

I’ve noticed that I do this when I’m doing readings for a long period of time (several back to back). Also, I have nearsidedness and have noticed ever since I started doing readings (about 4 years ago) I have a habit of taking my glasses off when I start retrieving information and will put them back on to see how the sitter is receiving the information. After a while of doing a reading I stop taking them off and on. I can see that this is a way for me to focus easier on messaging and helps “turn off” physical senses attention.
