On Samhain, my fiance and I did a ritual to bring in good things. Shortly after odd things started happening in our house. Noises in different rooms, things moving around, our cat getting locked in the fridge and drawers. Last night, when we let the dog out there was scratching on the door (sounded exactly like what she does to get let in). When I opened the door, she was about 30 feet away pooping. Not sure what scratched the door but I’m worried I let it in. Another noteworthy event is that a mirror that my mom gave me broke.
We’ve cleansed the house with incense twice since Samhain. While cleansing, in some areas of the house, the smoke will turn black and heavy. So, I guess I’m looking for advice. Thank you!

Cleanse again, ensuring that an exit is available. Then ward the heck out of your house.

I’d recommend specifically telling the “good things” you invited in to leave. It sounds like, to me, that’s what’s causing these things.
To me, it sounds like you may have accidentally invited in some naughty stuff by asking for such a vague thing. Those naughty energies probably *think* what they’re doing **is good.**
Also second the cleansing followed by heaving warding. On top of salting the windows/door ways like said, you could mix up some salt water and take a paint brush and draw protective symbols on the windows with the salt water. Crystals at the four corners of the house also work. Something like crystal quartz, amethyst, smoky quartz, black tourmaline.

When I do a cleanse in my house I open the windows and use Palo Santo wood or sage and have a sandlewood incense burning in the living room .
