Any problems with a pure brass cauldron or offering bowl?

Maybe. I’ve read warnings about not heating brass (for burning incense or herbs) because the brass bowl can get very hot and scorch what’s beneath it. Depending on the type of brass and the age of it, it might be unsafe to eat or drink from, might contain lead, plus some brass can release mildly toxic fumes. So if it is just for you to look at, lay offerings in briefly, then it’s probably going to be fine. But for grinding herbs in, or lighting fire around, or sipping from – might not be a good idea.

    Nah, it should be fine.
