Is it normal for nobody to turn up to a medium reading? I had a psychic tell me she was just going to talk to my higher self because she wasn’t sensing anyone. Is this a red flag or fine?
I use to think it meant there is nobody from ancestors interested or caring. Is that possible if you have ancestors who were not so great people? (Aka assholes while living on Earth)

A lot of things can occur that can keep a good medium from reaching your loved ones. Here are some.
You are the conduit the information passes through, so, these things are some that happen.
1. The client/sitter wants evidentials so badly they consciously block the reader.
2. The sitter had severe trauma as a child. And the reading would dredge it all up, so it was blocked by spirit.
3. The sitter and reader have vastly different personalities and just don’t click.
4. The sitter’s ancestors are not allowed to interfere in decision making at this time.
5. The goals for the reading had little to do with deceased loved ones, and were the type of readings a clairvoyant would do, in regards to future or romance.
6. The sitter said, “Oh. Whatever comes through”. (Some readers read for specific purposes).
7. The reader was overtired or ill.
8. The reader’ s spirit team told them not to do the reading, or to stop.
9. The reader was treated rudely.

How people were while alive in my understanding, has no bearing on how they really are after passing.
Before the reading. Did you “call in” your spirit guides, angels, keepers, protectors, ancestors, or any who wish to bring light to me.
Open the space and call your friends in for a meeting. When finished thank them all for being always with you and the messages and wisdom you’ve received.

Spirits usually show up when we are going through struggles. Also when they have a message for you or have chosen you to spread the message. We have been taught at a young age to justify why things are the way they are, this makes us question what we see or hear. This is why children see things all the time they don’t have to have a reason for what is happening. Best practice is to go to a reading with an opened mind, accept what your going to hear and let what you heard sink in, sometimes the message is in what we took away from the reading not what was said. No expectations with an open mind will give your next reading a better chance at someone coming through.

I recommend you check out the book “Spirit Speaks” by Michael Mayo. He addresses so much in here, more than any other book I’ve read. I’m currently reading it and flying through it because I want to know more.

My father Joe kept showing up to my husbands reading when they were trying to reach Joe, my husbands grandfather. But my dad was very gregarious in our life and wanted to talk baseball. My husband’s grandfather was a curmudgeon who hated most people. It made sense to us.

I was trying to channel some ones mom once and her Aunt showed up instead and the client was pissed.
