I’ve had spiritual beliefs and practices for a long time and have had psychic experiences before but never to the point of contacting the other side. I really want to communicate with spirits I feel like it’s one of my callings but I’m just not entirely sure how to get there. Sorry if this question has been asked too much I’m fairly new to this sub

This question has been asked many times. You can search subjects in the search bar up top, such as, “So you want to be a medium”? Medium Development. Mediums skills.

You can join a development circle or train with a mentor. Each of these options requires that you put forth a lot of effort and study. For some, it can take years.

    Best of luck to you.

You already are one! You are a spiritual being having a human experience therefore you can always connect to spirit if you choose to. The next step comes learning about yourself and your unique connection to spirit. Learning your abilities and how to grow and develop them. I have a podcast where i share my experiences and techniques on mediumship, psychic development and other spiritual topics. It’s called Chasing Spirituality if you enjoy podcasts. Episode 87 is all about developing and trusting your unique connection to spirit. Good luck!

Read lots of mediumship books, be a part of a Mediumship development circle, and practice doing readings. Maybe visit a spiritualist church to get more information on all these, and to see if they have a mediumship development teacher available for you.

Nobody ‘becomes.’ We all are. Some have a stronger resonance with expressing connection in a unique way, such as in a ‘mediumistic’ fashion. Others are musicians, or medical professionals, or mothers, or authors, etc. Maybe your question is more about how does one connect more clearly, or fully, or closely, with an aspect of yourself that you resonance with, such as mediumship. In that case, many of the ‘mediums’ (people who chose to identity with that aspect of themselves; sometimes these people do this commercially, some do not) here have already answered this question many times in this subreddit. Don’t take that personally. Do your due diligence (research, educate yourself) on what ‘mediumship’ means to you, discern your truths (what you understand, where you are now), and then move into resonance with your thoughts, beliefs, and actions therein (be yourself more fully, if you want). More simply, some of us have had this resonance since we were kids. Some of us took some time to figure this out and what it meant to them (like me), and some of us didn’t (Matt Fraser and Tyler Henry are some examples). Some of us continue to disregard this aspect of themselves (97% of humanity, lol).

Why do you feel called to become a medium? What do you see yourself doing as one?
