GuestJuly 4, 2021 at 11:45 amGahh ok so persephone so complex and it’s awesome, most know her as that Queen of the underworld wife to hades but something that is nuts is she PREDATES HADES she was Queen of the underworld before hades was even a thing, infact one of her older versions is so badass that she is literally ‘the one who can’t be named’ we don’t even know if she had a proper name or not BECAUSE NOONE WROTE IT DOWN because speaking the gods names was considered a way to summon them and she was so fkin scary noone wanted to so that. Persephone kicked ass is all I’m saying, you want someone to be a witchy God it’s her
Edit: OK so I mightve mixed up a different God with the whole noone wrote it down thing u can’t properly remmeber but they were scared as hell of saying her name and were afraid to write it down so they came up with different names. Watch the vid it’s awesome

The whole vessel, colors and mythology remind me so much of a dear green fingered friend of mine who was been through a lot yet is so powerful through their work with nature and the seasons. I wish I could buy this for them, but I am certain I can brighten up their day just by sharing this post and the images with them.

And when you eat in the underworld, you’re stuck there.
Hence winter, because her mother Demeter, the fertility goddess, would grief about her leave every year.
