The deck I’m using was a gift, but it is just a basic holo AE Waite deck. I was just pulling two cards with the same question “what are tools that I need coping with this?” The bottom card was a clarification for the first draw.

My interpretation for the moon is to not hold onto my emotions, but instead release them. And to pay attention to my dreams more than I have been recently. And it was nice to see the dog on the card, I saw that as my dog coming through.
Not sure what the 8 of wands meant, besides my dogs spirit finding it’s way, and the quickness of the death.
The 3 of swords I saw as a push to release my pain and heartbreak. It’s almost the one year anniversary of a tragic family death, and having another tragic death on top of that is hard. It’s saying I need to release these emotions and focus on what I have. And to maybe ease up on myself with the way I talk.

Anyways, does anyone have any other ideas? I’m having a really tough time emotionally so anything helps

8 of wands is about swiftness of movement. So it may mean that you will busy yourself with various tasks to help distract you from your grief. Going out and doing things as there is a lot of energy. Paired with the 3 of swords reversed show it will be a way of dealing with your heartache. A means for you to heal.
Go for a walk or a run like you would’ve done with your dog when they were still around. Dogs are energetic and always loyal and loving.

I was going to say the same thing about the dogs, how gorgeous is that? ❤ Wands are people too, messaging, journalling… Strongly seeing you writing things down actually so there you go. Release it all using pen and paper, it will definitely help you. I’m sorry about your lovely doggo x

I’m seeing this reading a little bit differently.

**8/W** is quick and sudden. You mentioned your dog’s death was sudden, which is highlighted here by this card. This is also amplified by **The Moon RX**, which discusses unhappiness, confusion, and those shake-ya-fists-at-the-sky moments because your mind is swirling and the grief can be so crappy sometimes you feel you’re delusional. Seeing these two cards together would tell me to not delude myself, and be clear about my grief. **3/SW RX** is recovering from a form of mental anguish, and as a clarifier for the **8/W**, it is explaining to you that discussing, sharing, and being clear about your pain may be best for you.
