My grandmother meant the world to me. I loved her so, so very much. She recently passed and I’m crushed and heartbroken without her. I don’t know how I’ll ever get over this. On my way home from the hospital I received a call that she passed…she was very sick but they hadn’t told me that she could die that soon. I’m devastated over it. As I was driving back home and entered our neighborhood (it was late at night), I saw a deer just standing on the edge of a yard and road, just standing there looking at me almost like it was waiting there for me to come by. I stopped the car and tried to talk to my grandma to ask if that was her sending me a message/visiting. The deer just quietly stood and stared, for quite a long time, so I just continued looking back and hoping my grandma could hear me and was there. Then finally the deer calmly hopped away up a hill into the dark. This felt significant to me given the timing, and that personally I’ve never seen a deer outside of a zoo (even though there are reportedly a lot in our area). My grandma always felt compassion for deers and spoke fondly of the gentle creatures. Could this have been her sending a sign or am I reading too much into a normal occurrence.
