Hello witches of reddit! Note that starting Sunday I’ll be somewhere that forbids technology, so I won’t be able to read any posts until I get back.
Now onto the scenario: My little sister’s softball game. Their whole team could use some practice, and it’s pretty hard to watch. Eventually, I get the idea to use witchcraft in their favor. I was just really tired of watching them lose so hard. So with a bit of editing, I whispered my first spell. Before I tell you the spell, please keep in mind that I’m a baby witch and this was made on the spot.
*Gods and goddesses, let the win be*
*This is my will, so mote it be.*
I made it up based on spells I had heard before. And I said many times to myself, as I attempted to remember what I needed to make a spell work. As far as I know, some of what makes a spell work is intention, belief, and focus. I watched the game as I kept saying the spell and…
One of the kids on our team caught the ball! All the kids were around 9 years old, so that was pretty impressive. I started to question if I had actually did the witchcraft, so I kept saying the spell to myself. We got two outs before something happened.
This might be a bit of a stretch, but while the game was going on a butterfly came. It was noticed and mentioned by people, but nothing too big happened. After that, my spell stopped working for a bit. I think I managed to get it working again, but overall that was a bit strange. In the end, we still lost pretty hard, but I am considering working on more spells to help their team.
So what do you think? Am I going crazy? Did I really create a working spell? If so, could I enhance it so our team would win? And was there more to that butterfly?
