    Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can provide input on whether a recurring dream theme I have is a visitation dream or what it could mean?

My Dad died very suddenly and prematurely almost a year ago. Since then I’ve had at least a dozen dreams where my whole family is together, including him. All of a sudden I remember my Dad is dead. I ask him – aren’t you supposed to be dead? How are you here with us?

He always replies that he can only stay for a little while to be with us and then he has to “go back.”

My sister has also had similar dreams and in both dreams he doesn’t say a lot to us, he mostly looks at us with a sad look on his face.

I’m wondering if this is my brains way of processing the trauma of losing him without saying goodbye, or if it’s a common visitation dream? What could it mean?

    Thank you all

It could be either. I would suggest this as a potential action. Both you and your sister, could tell your dad that you are glad that he visits. Tell him that you miss him and that you want him to be happy. Tell him he is free to be happy and that you love it that he comes.

I think the dreams may change.

It is true that they stay for limited times. If he knows that you want him to come, but, that you are happy he is free from pain or regret, he will hear you.

And it will help all of you.
