Red string

I randomly keep finding red string on my clothes. Today for example I was on break at work. It wasn’t there when I got in the car but as I made my way to my desk there it was on my right shoulder. I’ve found them on the legs of my scrubs. I don’t own any red garments that would leave strings. I tried to google it and got nothing. If anyone knows please help.

To my knowledge a red string signifies a heart connection (not sure where this comes from, it’s just something I remember from my gran) like an embodiment of someone’s deep caring for you. She used to say that where it was on you was supposed to tell you who it’s from but I can’t remember very well, on your back was supposed to be someone who’s passed and shoulders was someone very close to you, like a parent or a lover. Like I said I have no clue where she got this from but I’d still take it as a good sign.
