    Title.

I’m looking for something in the vein of Scott Cunningham’s guide to magical herbs, which I do own and is admittedly already pretty damn amazing and packed with great info; but as most folks know, Cunningham definitely firmly espoused a very positivite and healing-focused craft, and I’m also seeking lore and correspondence for specifically baneful/sinistral workings with plants and herbs. Anyone have any recommendations?

I was going to recommend Schulke’s The Green Mysteries now that it exists, but oops, apparently in the vein of all Schulke books it’s more than doubled in price since I picked it up (nearly $200 compared to the $80 I paid). Never…mind…that. Don’t even bother. I love it *instead* of Cunningham *at the price I got it at*, but it’s really not $200 worth of book.

Any Corinne Boyer book (Bramble Arch was my favorite) is really great for herbs. Roth’s The Witching Herbs is good: it covers a specific short list, but also breaks down a way of looking at/understanding plants’ natures from their ways of growing and being that’s more largely applicable. I believe Roth is also the guy behind alchemy-works, which is just a wonderfully packed website for plants as well.

    Anti-venom is made from venom.

Consuming a high enough amount of cinnamon in one go can be deadly.

Whatever it is you desire, say physical weakness, or misfortune… find herbs that provide strength or luck, and use that in a baneful spell.

Your intent, especially if you use other dark-based corrrespondences, will do the rest.
