Sideways cards

Hello, first time posting and just wondered what people’s thoughts are on interpreting sideways cards? I understand it can be dependent on the spread, but I’ve never felt settled on my own feelings about them, and I’ve found some conflicting things online about whether they should be read right way up or reversed, or open to own interpretation. Would love to know your feelings! Thanks!

honestly it could just be a shuffling mistake, i would try again

For the conflict cards in a Celtic Cross or elemental spread that are thrown sideways on top of the situation (main) card I see the top of the card position as being the right hand side as your the reader are looking at the spread, but this is my practice. I really depends on you, my only advice is once you find what feels right stick with it consistently
