my interpretation, it could be completely off as i am only still a beginner but this is how i see it and have kind of applied it to my current situation.

past = ace of cups

i kind of take this as my steps recently to start accepting the love from those who do care and trying to open up about my trauma, trying to trust in people more. it comes off as giving me permission to open up , that its time to grow and it is okay to release the negative energy and accept the positive into my life. even if it takes time. ive also recently been trying to open up more to my partner.

when i saw this card i immediately thought of my partner. someone who is very romantic and would do anything to help someone. they also happen to be very intouch with their feminine side.
they have been trying to help me with my issues and im very very grateful for it.
we are trying to save up for a visa and i also see this card as taking action to make our dreams become a reality. i have so much trust and faith that it will work out. what i need to work on is trusting my intuition, that i can trust them and myself when it comes to discussions about our emotions and issues.
but this card also to me signifies that if i continue to take action with correcting my trauma responses i am bound to make slow – but good progress.

future = king of cups

i see this as my future of healing and recovery from my trauma. a positive note of balance between heart and brain. the ability to be stable and calm in situations where in the past i may have had a negative response stemmed from my very deep rooted issues. other things also that i cant really put into words

my takeaway :
i think i am on the right path of recovery currently, trying to correct my irrational thoughts and trauma responses. that i need to be patient and allow myself to make that change slowly with time, allowing people who care for me to help me through it. and once i do, i will be able to make level headed responses. both with heart and brain. spiritually comfortable with where i am at as well.
