i wanted to come here and share this experience i had today.
for backstory and context, i am brand new to any sort of spiritual practice, but recently decided to start reading things about mediums, NDEs, spirit guides, and psychics among others, as a way of just feeling more connected to nature and to the universe, and also bring myself just some more peace from day to day.
i'm still learning about spirit guides but i really want to try to connect with mine. today i listened to a guided meditation to try and open up to them. i've done this before but haven't really had any concrete experiences. i am still very new to meditating and it's so hard for me not to zone out.
this time, i was sitting with my eyes closed and i noticed that i could see this moving pattern that looked like the surface of water. and then as i continued with the meditation, my inner eye was flooded with purple, like a deep purple mist. and i sort of heard myself in my head asking "are you here?"
i think this was the closest i've come to making a connection of any sort. i am still trying to make sense of it.
would love any insight from others who are much more practiced than me.
