Spongebob x Tarot – Update 1

So I’ve genuinely considered making this now. I spent some time yesterday and today drafting the first 22 cards (major arcana) of the deck. I’m unsure whether I want to include the latter 56 (minor arcana) cards? Below’s a list of all the characters and their corresponding cards. **Looking for advice on character placement so if you think something else would be better let me know!** Entries with a ? next to them are places or things in the show, not characters.

This is amazing!!!!

I could see Doodlebob being the magician because he is a creation from Spongebob/the magic pencil

I could see Gary (or the Gary from the Dreams episode) as the moon and sandy as the sun

I could also see the Boulder (krusty crab pizza episode) or the invisible boat mobile as the chariot (would be empty though obvs lol)

Anyway I love this concept????????

Minor arcana could be various Bikini Bottom fish with Krabby Patties (pentacles), jellyfishing nets (swords), spatulas (wands), and ???? (cups). I was just trying to think of iconic Spongebob things. It could be really fun!

I’m actually surprised that Plankton isn’t the devil card? Though I have a very surface level knowledge of Spongebob which is left over from when I was a kid (and I’m also newer to tarot). Plankton in my opinion embodies some of the things that the devil card represents, such as obsession

I’m amazed at how much y’all want this. Lowkey makes me want to expand the deck and make multiple copies, I was originally going to do it for just me but if enough people want it I definitely can look into making more when I’m not broke ????????

omg i have an idea. for the tower or something use the guy who’s like “everyday i wake up and break my bones, my skin is paper and my bones are glass” or something like that LOL idk but this is such a fun idea
