Over a year ago, my partner and I invited our two close friends for a weekend at my family cottage. It’s a place that hasn’t been updated in decades, surrounded by woods and lake, and just has a great energy. That said, I have been spooked before being up there alone.
On this particular trip, I brought four of my most used tarot decks (I have a small collection, so this was basically all of them), and I did a few pulls the first night for everyone there. My husband and I had the one room, and our friends were staying in the common area on a blow up mattress.
I’m almost positive I left my decks in their boxes on the kitchen table, which is also in the living space, but in the morning my decks were all missing. There had been some imbibing so I chalked it up to leaving them where I hadn’t meant to and didn’t mention it.
One friend in the couple is big into crystals and the metaphysical but doesn’t have a lot of tarot decks, or any that I know of. The other partner is impartial.
After they said goodbye to leave, I scoured the cottage but didn’t find them anywhere, and I haven’t had them since. I’ve asked anyone else who uses the place, which isn’t many people, but the decks haven’t been found.
I don’t want to assume the worst of my friend, since this couple is really close to us, but I can’t help but think about it whenever we talk. I did bring it up to her once, but she said she hadn’t seen them and laughed good-naturedly when I said “I’m pretty sure they fell into a wormhole, but I hope they’ll be back!” I think her exact reply was, “I like that!”
It always happens that as soon as you buy a replacement the thing shows up, but I’ve really been missing my cards. Should I go ahead and start my collection again? Do I ask my friend one more time, or just say there’s probably a logical (or supernatural) explanation?
Sincerely,
A tarotless reader
