Looking to buy a 78-card deck and wondering which my fellow redditors would recommend. Thanks in advance!

The Crowley-Harris deck (also called the Thoth deck) is made from gorgeous oil paintings, full of geometry and symbolism.

It takes study to understand the system, but in my opinion it is study much worth the while.

I really love the Tarot del Fuego, probably quite a different style than the other decks mentioned here but the art is done very well imo

I love both the darkness of the light tarot and the arcana tarot playing cards.

Aesthetically speaking, my Anima Mundi deck is gorgeous.

Heaven & Earth Tarot, I still haven’t found anything else so far which could even be any close to this deck.

I tend to go for ones with detailed art and bold colors as well as a Celtic or medieval feel. My current favorites are the wildwood tarot, modern Spellcasters tarot, mermaid tarot (the one with Julie Dillon’s art), green witch tarot, and there’s a new one I got for Christmas called forest of enchantment, which I haven’t gotten a chance to use yet but I love the artwork

I’ve been using the Cthulhu’s Vault deck and a lotta people I’ve done readings for have told me they love the art style on it

Some of my favorite more modern decks are [Dark Days](https://www.darkdaystarot.com/), [Neo Tarot,](https://www.amazon.com/Neo-Tarot-Approach-Self-Care-Empowerment/dp/1784882372) [Modern Witch](https://lisasterle.com/mwt)! I don’t own it yet, but [Apparition Tarot](https://etsy.com/listing/643558356/back-ordered-apparition-tarot-deck?ref=hp_rf-1) is also more modern. I hope you’re able to find a deck that you enjoy! 🙂

I find it incredibly difficult to narrow down for second place and lower, especially given that my taste leans heavily (but not exclusively) towards modern decks; but Murder of Crows has been sitting in first place since I opened my copy.

In no particular order, some other modern decks I love the look of are:
    – Mystic Mondays
    – Tarot Del Toro
    – Tarot of the Divine
    – Urban Tarot
    – Primordial Tarot
    – Almost everything by Patrick Valenza

You won’t go wrong with the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot by Uusi.

None. Modern tarot is okay but the historic decks are magical. Get a Marseille reproduction.
