The 9th house rules higher education or higher law, travel, expansion and mastery/specialized learning…

I have Taurus in the 9th house and I remember being in college and telling my friends “I’m just here to fund my lifestyle”. And they looked at me like I was crazy. Another one “A degree is just a resume stamp” (I studied Political Science…nothing scientific/technical about it…but it opens doors and you can eventually make a lot of money with the job experience it will give you).
I was also slow to finish school and dropped out of Grad School to focus on my money.

Of course your 9th house sign will influence your 10th house ( Gemini in the 10th) house of career so I’m interested in what you’d say your 9th house statement is?

Leo 9th house. I have multiple language degrees, can talk in 7 with varying levels of fluency, moved abroad to further my career where I operate in another language, I’ve travelled to over 40 countries and get a kick out of it every single time (try to learn some of the local language before I go, make sure I spend time with the locals rather than among tourists)… Language learning is my #1 hobby, followed by travel. I also got my pars Fortuna in house 9 so that adds up.

I’m Aquarius in my 9H and have my Saturn there. My Saturn is square with my Pluto, and kinda conjunction (6 degrees) with my Pisces MC. (Omg sorry I don’t know how I could remember wrong and wrote a totally wrong sign for MC, so I just change it hahaha)

School has always been my main priority when I was a student. I was always on time with all my homework and take high responsibility. University was however hard and it took me 1,5 years extra, though high school was super easy and took me 0,5 year lesser lol haha.

It’s kinda normal that it takes longer time in university or at least with those I know. I was always knew to be the good student even if I was just average. However, work life isn’t going well with me. I’m now know as the worst hahahah!

Actually during my school years, I was just studying to pass my exams. I remember almost nothing. It wasn’t until I graduated that I have time to study for my own. It was when I did my own research online and learnt so much. It’s now I understand that I truly love to learn and learning is my hobby.

I think my Saturn in my 9H makes it hard to me to learn stuff if I’m not giving it all the time and interest, but my Aquarius in my 9H makes me enjoy learning, so now when I understand it and just learn whenever I feel for it without stress, then it’s how I can truly learn and open up my mind.

Gemini 9th house. Venus, my chart ruler, is there tightly trining my asc. I’m currently working on a phd in a niche disciplinary philosophy bc I want love what I do, and what I love to do is discuss ideas I love – esp when they relate to our everyday lives. My master’s thesis extended the idea that “dialogue is love” into the everyday practice of the parent-child relationship. I genuinely believe that how we communicate w others conveys our feelings for them and that if caregivers/parents actively tend to communication practices with our smallest humans (a responsibility for those in positions of power), we could collectively disentangle the domination from what many currently believe to be love. This work begins at home for all of us when we acknowledge and seek to shape that power that is always present in interpersonal interactions.

I also love love love long sentences, and I refuse to edit them to others’ expectations.

Not sure if I’ll go into teaching or find another way to nurture the youth into loving rebellion (cancer 10th house).

My 9th house is ruled by Scorpio and contains my mercury (Scorpio) and my moon, pluto, Chiron (Sagittarius). I study psychology (if that ain’t the most Scorpio thing idk what is) but rather than following the main stream scientific believe that cognitive behavioral therapy is the only right way to do therapy, I am mich more interested in depth psychology and also find parapsychology very intriguing and interesting. Some of my core statements probably are „statistics offer nothing for the individual patient“ ofc it can be interesting to know, that so Many percent of patients recover after one depressed episode, but it won’t tell the patient if he will be part of that percentage.
Another one of my core believes is a quote by one of my favorite musicians of all time, kate tempest: „total existence needs meaning and myth“.

I’ve got Capricorn in my 9th house. All my education is in theater, public speaking, and fine arts. But I ended up going into STEM as a career somehow. I spent 12 years becoming an excellent orator in college and now I sit alone in a laboratory all day.

I have 9th house in Aries with my moon also there, I love learning and I wanna know EVERYTHING, but I often can’t concentrate on one thing and I’m all over with my interests.
I started uni last year as a Creative Writing major ( I also moved into another country for uni) and now I applied to study something else as this turned out to not really suit me.
I consider uni as a fun time, I am not sure if I plan to do anything with my degree. I’ll see how things turn out.

I have Virgo in my 9th house, mostly occupied by Libra, though… I just wonder what does it mean and why I feel I behaved more like a Virgo regarding basic education (if not wrong, ruled by 3H) and now I feel like I act like a Pisces at uni. Right now I’m studying translation and interpretation. That was the only major I liked. I was just pressured by the timing (I started immediately after graduating high school). Now I don’t feel it fulfils me enough. I still like it, but don’t intend to dedicate to it forever.
I also only traveled once abroad and I was detained at migration office with my family, almost deported from the country we were visiting for vacation (9th also rules trips abroad). Overhearing their convo, they were planning to deport me and leave the rest. If it wasn’t because I was traveling with my family and they depended on me for the stuff we were bringing (I was the one with the ticket to take bigger baggage for all of us), I would be deported from that country, causing me trouble next time I travel (I still think it already did). Is having 9H in Virgo like that?
No planets in Virgo or Pisces.
    • Mercury in Scorpio in 10th (Placidus)/11th (WS)
    • Neptune in Aquarius in 1st (Placidus)/2nd (WS)
    • Jupiter Rx in Aries in 4th (both)
