0 Degrees in Astrology

I’ve always thought of it as that moment when, on a hot day, you walk in to a grocery store, and just as you pass through the doors, you get that massive wave of air conditioned air, and you go “aahhhh”, because it’s such a stark contrast to the heat you just stepped out of.
So when you have a significant 0 degree placement, you might be extra sensitive to that archetype, or it would be extra prominent in your life experience.
I don’t know. Maybe. I’m a zero degree sun, but my moon is in the previous sign, so i can’t say exactly that my sun is that much more prominent than my moon, but i do feel that my sun sign is very strong. Especially considering it’s the only placement of its element in my entire chart. -
The term you’re looking to Google is “critical degrees”. Fwiw, I was also taught what other commenters said – it is the most pure or “stereotypical” expression of that sign. As a 0° degree gemini sun, I certainly relate to this interpretation.
ETA, someone mentioned the middle degrees. What I read was that the beginning degrees are you just coming to terms with the issues of that sign/house, the middle is you being knee deep in it, and the end is you having pretty much figured it all out. This is why there’s a belief that people who have personal planets (specifically sun/moon) at 28 or 29 degrees seem to just “know things”. I feel like I read that in a Twitter thread though so take it with a grain of salt, like all other things you read from random internet spaces c:

It’s the purest form the planet’s archetype manifests in a sign. 0⁰ of any of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn) has extra impact as it’s aligned with the equinoxes (Aries/Libra) or the solstices (Cancer/Capricorn). This is called “Zero-Point Aries” and can indicate the potentiality of fame or recognition in a field the planet rules.

O Degrees is one of the 30 degree demarcations in a 360 degree (Divided By 12 [iow, for 12 ‘Houses’ of a “Western” astrological chart) Having 0″ Aries is different from 0″ Taurus, or 0″ Gemeni, or 0″ Cancer, etc. Each of the 12 Astrological “signs” has a 0 Degrees demarcation, as well as having a 1 through 29 degree demarcation. Is 0 Degrees ‘Special’? It depends on what you mean by “Special”. Everyone has 0 – 30 degrees for ea. sign & it just is ‘the luck of the draw’ “where” ea individuals’ Houses (e.g. “rising sign’) end up in one’s particular astrological chart. It all depends upon which of the 12 astrological signs & what planet or house the 0 degrees falls in. (Just my recollection & my trying to explain it in simple termsl…). Also, these ‘degrees’ of the astrological chart have also been known as “Sabian Symbols” in earlier astrological writings. From the Book “Degrees of the Zodiac” by EstherV. Leinbach the author states; “The Sabian Symbols are a set of 360 phrases of words that correspond with each of the 360 degrees of the wheel of the zodiac, from Aries 1 to Pisces 30.”

I read zero degree as the beginning of your experience with the energy of that sign, and 29th as very experienced, or mastery of the energy.

it’s just the first degree of that sign/house. unless it makes/receives an aspect from another planet or point in the chart, it’s just 0 degrees!

Are you trying to say they don’t use an accurate calculation in the program that mapped it out or for some reason it technically isn’t possible for a planet to be in zero degrees ( or house) for some particular reason

Hubber’s school believe there are something special about this degrees of any sign, especially the one between piscis and Aries, as is the end of the cicle.
