I was helping a friend watch her nieces over the weekend. One of them is 6 and was talking to me about her mom and then asked me if I had a mom. I said yes. She said “I think she’s kind of alive but mainly dead.” I asked her how she knew my mom had died and she said she didn’t. She then asked what she looked like. I described her and then she started talking about her own mom again.
My mom passed away when I was 14 and I am now in my early 30s. Is it possible my mom connected with her somehow or was this just a kid saying random things?

My ex husband passed a few years ago. One day our daughter walked into the family room where her 5 year old (our grandson)was watching tv. He looked up from the screen and told my daughter quite matter of factly, “Papa’s here!” Then went back to the tv. Papa was my ex husband’s grandpa name.

I was visiting a friend over the weekend & her young son asked what my parents names were as soon as he woke up from his nap. (Both of mine have passed.) I answered, but wondered if it was because he saw them. Wishful thinking, but I know kids are also capable of seeing things that we may not be able to see. I get where you’re coming from. Anything is possible & I hope they do visit us.

my niece is 7 or 8 and was ill a few weeks ago. she lives with her dad, her mom is my sister and we haven’t spoken in several years.
her dad heard her talking for a long time, having a conversation in her room while she was home sick and he was working. eventually he got concerned and went in and asked her who she was speaking with.
she said “aunt smartlypretty’s husband, [name]! he’s my guardian angel and i’m sick.”
several years ago she was about four and in the car with my mom, my niece in her carseat. my niece kept laughing and babbling, and then said “grandma, you’re so silly.” and my mom asked why, and she said “not you, my other grandma.”
her other grandma died in the 1990s when her dad was 16. i expect her to not have this happen as much.
also i saw this same niece in my house during an out of body experience in 2020. she said “aunt smartlypretty!” and i got pulled back to my body.
