I’ve noticed this is somewhat of a common thing to experience in readings.
Every human has a spectrum of psychic abilities. I think intuition is part of every organism. If you are taking part in a spiritual or a psychic practice (such as getting a reading) it is normal to “join in” and let yourself exercise your psychic abilities by tuning in.
In fact, I think finding a psychic you truly click with will push you into diving into connecting on your end personally and developing your natural external sensing skills.
I would say beware of readers who end up giving themselves a reading by getting you to exercise your abilities on them; I’ve seen this happen recently on social media— even though it was all free, and not an actual client situation— I felt it wasn’t right for the reader to do this and call it getting you “to practice.”
If you are interested in developing I would say start with a book that calls out to you, and a divination tool you are interested in. It’s all commitment and practice from there. Eventually you can think about going to a crystal/metaphysical shop if there’s some in your area and get involved in the local psychic community.
