Have any other mediums had a distant relative ask them.for a reading on reddit?
A niece of my ex-husbands did this to me in March. I was really upset. We do not get along. We are philosophically and politically opposed on many fronts.
As I did her reading, I kept having visions of people in my family, people in my ex’s family and felt I was reading her through symbol, when it was all a trick. Why not ask me directly? Why not ask someone else to call me and to make the request? I haven’t spoken to her in more than ten years.
Has anyone else had this happen? I have voluntarily read for family. No problem. This felt underhanded and sneaky. I also felt someone who used to be very close to me put her up to it.
Is it just me? Have any of you been”tested” by someone who should just have not done so?
We prove ourselves over and over here.

You don’t require payment in advance? You should!
In this case you could have cancelled the reading and refunded them.

Being a newly ‘awakened’ medium I haven’t had this happen, though the many ways that people can do harm is an ongoing battle.
It felt underhanded and sneaky because it was. I’m so sorry you had this experience.

I’m sorry you had this experience. Very unethical for sure & u seeing the family during it was right on. U must of been perplexed. Yes get money ahead for sure!!! with anyone new.

On a separate note, you don’t need to prove anything about yourself to anyone. If they do not believe, that is their lose. Try to not let non-believers ever get under your skin 🙏🏼❤️

I’m getting the feeling that she didn’t know it was you. Can that be a possibility? Could she have also been surprised if she saw who she ended up paying?

The way I see it is it has little to do with you. It’s more a curiosity and the need to satisfy, or I should say, come to terms with their disbelief in psychics/mediums.
Perhaps they want to believe and secretly do but feel if they do they themselves will be judged as well. It was a crappy thing to do to anyone, especially a family member. But I also feel bc you are family she felt she could get away with it.
