Not sure what flair this fits under.
To anyone who doesn’t know, today was the Kansas primary, and one of the biggest issues was a proposed amendment that would have slashed the state’s already not-great abortion rights. The people voted to either approve or reject the amendment. I was really scared about the result, which might sound odd coming from a cis man who won’t personally be affected by this. I
Roughly two-thirds of voters chose to reject the amendment, which was far larger than I ever expected it to be. Especially in a red state. I know that abortion rights here aren’t exactly the best in the country, but at least we know that Kansas won’t be getting much worse in that regard for a while.
