Am I doing something wrong and if i am what could it be?

I’ve recently bought this pendulum board it’s quite big(it’s one of those that kind of resemble a ouija board and by that i mean that it has the alphabet, numbers and etc). For a pendulum i decided to use my amethyst necklace that I’ve had for over 5-8 years( could be more I’m not sure) And whenever I use it I feel absolutely drained after 5-10 minutes of use. It also seems like it’s struggling to give answers( like I’ve said the board is very long and i feel like the pendulum can’t swing towards the letters) Also a lot of the answers do not quite make sense… I should probably add that I’m using it while in poor health both emotional and physical…Am i using it wrong? Maybe I’m using the wrong crystal/stone? Asking the wrong questions? Could it be because Im using it while sick? I want to add that I’ve always been close to anything spiritual/paranormal. I’ve been seeing ghost/spirits since i was a child and sometimes they even communicate with me through dreams ,using ouija boards, having dreams that come true but I also usually get sick whenever i get too into it (for example using my ouija board too often to communicate with spirits). Could anyone tell me what am i doing wrong? Or give me any suggestions/tips on how to deal with this? I usually don’t feel like anyone is trying to do me harm though whenever i do anything spiritual and by that i mean use my pendulum or my ouija board i pretty much immediately get sick or feel like i was drained of all my energy according to my old friends spirits do act more active when I’m around but in exchange i feel like I’m being drained and become sick… (English is not my first language so I’m very sorry if i did a lot of mistakes)

Those types of pendulum boards look awesome, but are really complex for a rock on a string. If its large, that just adds to it.

Pendulums work great as tools for yes/no/maybe applications, but I doubt boards like that would sell.

1. id suggest having it swing over your hand or a smaller board with only yes, no and maybe on it so it can swing easier.
2. stone doesnt matter.
3. pendulums work for yes or no questions
4. cleansing after use and sometimes before helps wonders
5. being unwell may be having an impact, so id suggest trying to clrar your mind at least a little might help
