I picked up a pinecone I found outside. I want to use it to cast a spell. But I don’t know one I can cast with a pinecone. I looked up “pinecone spells” and a few things came up. Pinecones symbolize strength, health and fertility. They can be used to ward of evil influences, and negative energies. You can meditate with pinecones to relieve dark moods. You can use a pinecone to make a wish by whispering your wish into it and tossing it into a fire.

Any advice on what I can do with a pinecone?

So here’s mine, get some honey (or glue). Paint it onto the pinecone. Sprinkle the cone with cinnamon and nutmeg while reciting an incantation for protection or an affirmation for health through the winter. Now place the pinecone in your tree or close to a door for protection through Yule. Bonus if you live with less witchy individuals, they just see decorations lol

Yule is coming up for the northern hemisphere! Also I believe protection and prosperity, but anything like that is always a good add-on to an altar. I’ve seen people make fire place stater with those too, if im not mistaken.

I have a pair of pinecones which my partner’s grandmother decorated to look like gnomes. I keep them in the foyer on either side of the door for protection.

Cut small pieces of paper and write down your intentions, goals, or things you’d like to release for the new year. One per paper. Roll each one (towards you if you are bringing things to you and away from you if you are moving things away from you), drip a bit of wax on the end of the paper roll and stick that end into the spaces in the pine pinecone. You can add corresponding herbs too. I usually like to drip a bit more wax on the pinecone before I add the herbs so they stick. When you are ready hold the pinecone and think about everything that you just wrote down and visualize it coming to you or moving away from you. Burn your pinecone releasing your magick into the universe. I burn mine in a fire pit outside for fire safety. This is a good time to cut cords too.
