I don’t think it’s anything to do with astrology but more to do with when the FBI started profiling criminals and came up with the term “serial killer” Also during the 40, 50’s and 60s therapy was looked down on and they were being born in this era

I think it’s just media + new profiling in the 70s. killers like the axman of New Orleans and Jack the Ripper were covered but only because of how gruesome their murders were. Real psychos like madame lalaurie who got away with it we’re more low profile. It was easier to kill a vagabond (slaves if you’re laLaurie) and not many would notice. I also think the idea of “running away and starting a new life” was used pretty much every time a person who would be missed disappeared. I honestly suspect many fathers who went out for cigs/milk we’re probably attacked but because they were adult men not much effort was put into finding them

I think they were even MORE common before then, people were just not aware of them. The advances to catch them hadn’t been made. There were also a lot more silenced “others” for a victim pool, so newspapers and such didn’t care. (I mean POC, women who went against social norms- like sex workers or hell, even “barmaids”, the poor, and LGBTQ people). After the civil rights movement the above groups of people STARTED having a voice. It wasn’t respected but it existed. Prior to that, I imagine a LOT of murder happened that never made the news because the victims weren’t white cis middle class.

Less security cameras/CCTV, overall technology wasn’t as advanced then to catch people out doing these terrible things, doubt it’s got anything directly to do with astrology other than the fact that we’ve entered the age of Aquarius

Lead in the gasoline. Emissions. California had a thick layer of brown smog for a decade, and at the same time that’s when there were a lot of super violent street gangs. It was the lead in the gas.

I don’t know much about Pluto, but it’s presence in Libra might be some sort of indication of this trend; being Libra a sign usually associated with law, social/ethical matters, Pluto could have brought about this extreme side of society to the surface;
OR/AND it could have made something like murders/tragic deaths and death more of a “””mundane””” thing/topic

Not sure if this has been mentioned but there is a theory of lead based things in homes and in the gasoline. After the introduction of unleaded gas there was a decline.

That’s why some older houses you may rent or buy you have to sign a consent form stating that you are aware of lead based paints in the home.
