i put this on Paranormal and NDE and thought i would post here too:

My mum was in her final stage of dying last night. I was lying at the bottom of her bed on the floor. i was wide awake. My brother went and sat outside as it was hot inside house he sat right outside her bedroom window. i started hearing someone whistle coming from where my brother was, not too loud but loud enough for me to hear and be annoyed. It was the same bloody tune over and over and i thought for crying out loud doesn’t my brother know a different tune and that i thought he would wake someone up so i shouted “shut up Steven” but it carried on, it must have been for about 10 minutes and about 3.45am. i don’t know what time he came back in but i obviously fell asleep. i asked my brother this morning if he was whistling and he said he didn’t, i said over and over that i heard it and it was the same tune over and over. He said he heard me shout but he thought i shouted at mum.

Mum died today, this afternoon. However i did have another thought come over me, could it have been her parents come for her and only a tune she would know? she only uttered a few words last night and one she said “remember my dad”. It was coming from where my brother was and nowhere else i was wide awake and no one else was around and it wasn’t coming from mum and it was bloody annoying!

    Any thoughts?

First.I am so sorry for your loss. I have heard anecdotes of whistling. Perhaps someone was waiting for her. That would be comforting, wouldn’t it?

I have a spirit guide who will whistle along to any music that’s playing, whenever he’s around. Sometimes fancy, world class whistling.

*she only uttered a few words last night and one she said “remember my dad”*

I think we now know who the whistler was…….

I’m sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is so so hard. Its possible, that you used to hear that as a child if you were around your grandpa, but with everything thats happened and was happening, your mind is spinning and you unfortunately are NOT remembering at this time.

My dad was actually found dead across the street from our house. He was at his brothers house because my parents were separated. the night he died, i could not sleep to save my life. i stayed out front in my living room. i was on my computer, but ay 3:54am i saw this like mild almost white beam of light go from the sky, to my uncle’s living room window.

the living room was where my dad was. My uncle called it in as a murder… after he tried to get my brother to break the front door down. “thank god my brother told him to fuck off…. he was freaking 14!” When the coroner was explaining everything to us, he said “he passed between 12am and 6am and i looked him straight in the eye and said “3:54am” the coroner AND the cops looked at me like “how the fuck do you know”. i explained it and surprisingly they didnt do a 72 hour hold on my ass. lol

When i saw that beam… i *KNEW* something was wrong… honestly i didnt think it was my dad i thought it was my grandpa.. it still haunts me to this day
