Anyone else find it easier to connect your own kin than other spirits?

Every time I have had a full living color experience it’s been someone related to me, whether I knew of them at the time or not, where as all my other experiences have been either just one sense or “fuzzy” (unclear, just flashes, etc).

Unfortunately not, I find it impossible to connect with my own loved ones but easier to connect with complete strangers.

It’s really annoying as I’ve love to connect with my own passed ones and spirit guides but nope lol

No. I do not feel any Earth based ancestors around me anywhere. But I do feel many many other energies and other peoples ancestors

I seem to have a harder time with my relatives. I haven’t had anyone come forward recently. I can connect with my great-grandmother but our connection was so deep that I’m 99.9% sure she decided to join my spirit team when she passed…or she’s just with my literally always. She’s been by my side since 2000. I also connect deeply with my mother in law who died in 2015. We got really close in her last year and so our bond was quite strong. She sends me signs almost daily to let me know she’s with us still…

But my great-grandmother has been the only full bodied, clear spirit I have ever seen. I’ve only ever really sensed them vs. seeing them.

I’m very new and learning but even with others, it’s 50/50 for me. I get a lot of flashes and sometimes I get a lot of messages being hurled at me at once and I can’t decipher 1 thing from another. Sometimes things are just so clear that I can’t deny what I’m being shown or told. I wish I could learn how to clear things up more…
