I over-utilize sigils in my craft. Now if you were to lookup how to perform sigil magic, you will be advised to make one -> forget the intent -> activate it by concentrating on it -> burn it into your memory through meditation -> release it by burning it.
I looked at my stack of sigils and realized that for me what happens is I make a sigil -> stash it into my stack -> it works.
And I can’t recommend it as a short-cut for anyone else, because I am not too sure that it is meant to work, it just, for some reason, does to me.
Now that I think about it, you are also not supposed to be able to affect other people with your sigils and if you are going to be trying to affect them, you are expected to show the sigil to them by embedding it somewhere noticeable but at the same time invisible enough to not cause a ruckus. Once again, seems to not be true in my case. Mind you the two workings that I did on other people involved “my bosses treat their employees nicer” (next week the slew of never ending meetings ended and we were allowed more freedom in our schedule and flexible work) and “deter evangelicals from sending me hand-written mails” (once again made that sigil and not a single new letter came for over a month now).
So my question is in the title – ever found your own little quirks in workings that work specifically for you?
