Is it true that the moon phase can affect a Cancer (sun sign) person so much that their mood fluctuates significantly between the full moon and new moon?

All of our moods are affected by the moon. When it’s a full moon, business are busier, there are more hospital check ins… etc. Srry I cant answer specifically for cancers but I wouldnt doubt they feel it more intensely than others

This is a weird question to ask because if anyone was a Cancer, it would be Cancer moons, not Cancer suns. The sun is not a particularly Cancerian planet; certainly it would have stronger aspects than normal to the moon, since it’s its ruler, but this question seems rooted in sun sign astrology.

Virgo Sun , Cancer moon & Sagittarius rising here

I can always tell when it’s going to be a full moon. 2-3 days before and I feel it for like 24/48 hrs afterwards. So before , during & afterwards. I’ll notice I get kinda down and moody as if I’m taking in someone else’s pain or trauma. It gets really intense at times. Sometimes I’ll feel an extreme weight of emotions and then at times I’ll feel myself being recharged. Since I stay nit to far from the beach I often like to sit under the moon while it gleams on me & allow the energetic shift from high tide to help balance me out so it’s not like a ambush of emotions at once.

Before I looked into evolving my moon sign I lacked self aware to know when this was occurring and often times had fights and falling out with friends & family because they say I was being too emotional 😭

Which is something you never want to say to someone with any water or fire placements in their chart cause when high tide over all hell gone break loose lol 😭 😭

As a cancer sun I’ve never experienced this. I think cancer risings might face this.

I’m a Cancer rising and I’ve always noticed changes around full and new moons. I imagine a lot of people would feel this, the moon affects everyone, but I have a friend also with a Cancer rising and we notice that they seem to hit us particularly hard. Full moons usually cause me intense emotional turmoil and fatigue and New Moons I typically find myself with headaches 🥴 weird haha!

Everyone’s mood is affected by moon. Especially for women. I’d describe influences coming from moon’s transits using such words as: easily noticable, changeable, easily felt. I mean, you need basic awareness to notice moon’s influence. Luckily they are short-lived. It happens often that I have conflict with someone, then I think to myself: I guess there is some moon-mars transit, I check it and here you are. But this conflict does not last long – as the influence causing it.

For outer planets the same influence would be more sublime and long lasting. Patern would be less noticable short term.

Scorpio sun and Cancer moon here and I can sense when it’s a full moon, or new moon! I just have that intuition for sure. I tend to retreat into my shell when it’s a full moon or new moon because I’m extra emotional lol

Cancer ascendant/Gemini moon woman here I feel like my personality goes through cycles every month lasting maybe like 3 days each if I had to guess. I’ve always felt like my mood changed as frequently as the moon phases. I think new moons were energizing for everyone but yeah I def feel rejuvenated when they happen and the timing always makes perfect sense in my life

I am not a professional in the slightest so I might be making this up but I always saw the sun sign as more of your persons archetype if that makes sense, like relating your actions and the meaning of the space you occupy. If I had to guess I’d say your moon and rising sign have more to do with your emotions than your sun

I’m a Mars & Venus Cancer and on top of that a Virgo moon & rising (with the moon in the first house in Whole House system, but 12th house Placidus. I resonate with both tbh?) and yes 100% the moon affects me sooooo deeply! I usually leave out a small jar of water during Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio season to connect with the moon and this part of me.

As highly emotional signs, I believe Cancer would be more likely to be influenced by slight changes in astrological formation than other signs in general. On top of this, as a water sign, Cancer’s emotions are somewhat tied to the ebb and flow of the ocean – as the moon’s gravitational pull has been scientifically proven to influence the ocean’s tidal force, I personally see a lot of credence in the argument that Cancer is more emotionally connected to the moon than other signs. Although not explicitly outlining the role of Cancers, this article assessed the different phases of the moon and how they can affect our emotions; [https://www.mysticsense.com/The-Eight-Phases-Of-The-Moon-How-They-Impact-Us/](https://www.mysticsense.com/The-Eight-Phases-Of-The-Moon-How-They-Impact-Us/). As previously mentioned, Cancer’s emotions are inherently heightened so I suggest you interpret the article with this in mind!

However, as another comment highlights, the phases of the moon are notorious for causing chaos amongst all kinds of people with increased police incident reports and increased hospitalizations etc. This factor may make it hard to distinguish Cancers specifically, especially around a full moon, but yes I do believe that the more subtle waxing and waning of the moon may cause fluctuations in a Cancer’s mood.

I have nothing in Cancer but I’m a 1st house Moon and I have found my moods even more changeable than that of an average Cancer Sun (and it sucks). I can actually sometimes even tell when I’m having a Lunar Return if it is very different from the month before.
